Why is it that wish lanterns are only really associated with festivals? And now, thanks to wishlantern.co.uk, weddings? No one would really think to launch a wish lantern just of an evening, in between an episode of EastEnders and the news. But why not? Wish Lanterns shouldn’t just be reserved for those ’special’, or once-in-a-blue-moon occasions. They have the power to add that touch of magic to any part of your day so why not use them as a mood enhancer of sorts? They make a nice end to a dinner party. Rather than an after-dinner mint, coffee or night cap, a wish lantern’s calming affect is another way of aiding digestion. Why not light a lantern whenever the mood takes you? Obviously bearing in mind where you are. I wouldn’t advise a wish lantern launch taking place in a built up urban area. Best not to set one free while you’re puffing on a fag in your lunch break at work. But, provided it’s not pelting it down with rain, nor snowing, and as long as you’re of sound mind and body and not in a petrol station, then light away! Because wish Lanterns are 100% biodegradable, and are therefore environmentally friendly as well as people friendly (unlike those noisy, imposing fireworks), they aren’t causing any harm. They’re a wonderful way of expressing yourself.

If you market online, whether it be your own information products or services or someone else’s products (as an affiliate marketer), you need people both to see and buy your offers.
But most people won’t buy your product or service until they trust you. Trust comes only after you have built credibility with people. One way credibility comes is by establishing yourself in your market as an expert. You can become an expert in several ways:
- by publishing original and unique content on your website
- by creating and distributing an ecourse or ebook
- by publishing your own ezine or newsletter
- by publishing your articles in someone else’s ezine
Here is the secret to establishing credibility: Publishing articles and content in other people’s ezines or on their websites.
Search engines like good links anchored to solid content and searchers like to find solid content when they search for information. When you supply informative articles that meet the needs of both groups, search engines begin to rank your linked pages higher in their ratings, and searchers are happy because their questions were answered without a sales pitch.
Bonus tip: If a searcher finds your article informative and helpful, she will often click through the link in your resource box to learn more. Don’t forget the value in having a strong resource box linked to both more content and your offers.
Writing articles for distribution should be the cornerstone of your online marketing efforts. Articles establish you as an expert in your market, and your expert status (and web presence) grows as others publish your content. Your articles serve both your need for exposure and others’ need for good website and ezine content.
How can you start? Write a batch of five or ten short (300 word) articles geared to your market and submit them! It’s that simple. You can find a list of article distribution sites by searching online, but begin by submitting to these two: www.ezinearticles.com and www.groups.yahoo.com/group/business_articles.
So get started!

Our ancestors used to work extremely hard to protect themselves from getting lost in this mysterious world. They used to erect monumental landmarks, study conventional land maps and of course they used to mark the stars in the night sky.
But today it is very easy to know one’s position. You just only have to get a pocket-sized gadget that will make you know your exact position on this earth at any given moment. The system of knowing one’s exact position on this earth is known as ‘Global Positioning System’. If anyone has a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, and if the sky remains clear, then no way can he get lost on this earth.
Of note is that this pocket-sized gadget, the Global Positioning System receiver, is quite expensive and it also involves a fair amount of technical ingenuity.
GPS is specially a Satellite Navigation System that helps in tracking our exact location with the help of satellites. The Global Positioning System is mainly funded and controlled by the U.S Department of Defense (DOD). The system was primarily designed for the operation of U. S. military. But there are also many civil users of GPS across the globe. The Global Positioning System provides some special satellite signals which are then processed in the GPS receiver. These GPS receiver’s not only track the exact location, but can also compute velocity and time.
The positions can even be computed in three dimensional views with the help of four GPS satellite signals. The Space Segment of the Global Positioning System consists of the GPS satellites. These satellites send radio signals from space which are received by the GPS receiver.
There are more than 24 operational and 3 extras (in case one fails) GPS satellites that moves round the Earth every 12 hours.
The control of the Global Positioning System consists of different tracking stations that are located across the world. These monitoring stations help in tracking signals from those Space Vehicles which are continuously orbiting the earth. The Space Vehicles transmit microwave carrier signals. The users of the Global Positioning System have GPS receivers that convert the satellite signals which estimate position, velocity and time. Four satellites are required to track the three dimensional location and time. The primary function of Global Positioning System is the navigation in three dimensions. The Navigation receivers are used for aircraft, ships, and ground vehicles and sometimes for personal use as well.
With GPS receivers, precise positioning of any location can be done. The Global Positioning system is based on a simple mathematical calculation that operates through a process called Trilateration. In order to make the simple mathematical calculation the GPS receiver should know two things.
++ One is the location of the place to be traced by at least three satellites.
++ Secondly, is the distance between the where the receiver is located and each of those Space Vehicles.
All units have multiple receivers, and can pick up signals from several GPS satellites at a same time. These radio waves are electromagnetic energy that travels at the speed of light.
The civil users across the world are allowed to use the Standard Positioning Service without any kind of charge or restrictions.

Georgia Car Insurance Policies and Rules
In Georgia, it is expected by law that all drivers hold a Georgia car insurance policy for their automobile. GA requires that all drivers carry 25/50/25 car insurance coverage. This basically implies that their policy covers bodily injury damage of $25,000 per individual, $50,000 per accident and also property damage coverage of $25,000.
These are just a few of the rules in GA to protect individuals and their automobiles. Regulating these regulations, the Georgia Department of Revenue has a statewide database that insurance companies are mandated to keep current with a motorist’s insurance information. At the same time, it is urged to keep proof of your insurance with you anytime you drive. Without it, if you are stopped by the police or involved in a car accident, you could see fines or you could have your license suspended.
Being a no-fault state, all accidents in GA must have someone determined to be financially responsible to be at fault and their car insurance firm is also accountable for costs.
Personal Injury Protection – This type of incremental coverage covers complemental medical damages and other expenses that are not covered under a standard policy.
uninsured Coverage – This optional insurance policy covers you in the event you are in a car accident with an uninsured or underinsured motorist. Since the person doesn’t have an car insurance company to pay for damages, this car insurance policy will help compensate for them.
GA car insurance companies are called for by law to input the details of your insurance policy into a statewide database. This database is sustained by the Department of Revenue. To protect yourself in the case you are in a automobile accident or are pulled over by the police, you should always carry proof of your automobile insurance with you whenever you drive. Failure to due so can result in fined or worse

In today’s world, companies have more choices than ever as they look to effectively inform, educate, and persuade employees, customers, and other stakeholders. “The AVS Group has helped clients transition from traditional video communications on videotape or CD to Web and DVD-based media,” notes Rob Ramseier, the AVS Group’s video team leader and producer.
This article spotlights several ways that organizations have successfully used the power of Web-based video to drive revenue and communicate effectively. These benefits have been made possible by three key technology advancements, which are reviewed in this article. Lastly, we highlight the benefits of DVD and explain why DVD is leading the wave of the future for professional development and promotional applications.
Web-based video: business spotlights
There are seemingly endless ways for organizations to leverage the power of Web-based video as part of their overall marketing strategy. When the video content offered is high quality and in-demand, there is an opportunity to convert it into revenue. In 2004, Major League Baseball (MLB) earned an additional $135 million by offering streamed baseball games via MLB.com. In 2005, MLB streamed 2,300 games during the season.
Web-based video does not have to be sold in order for the content to create a positive affect on revenue. Organizations now use progressive downloading to launch on-camera customer testimonials or product and service demonstrations from their Web sites. These brief Web-based video segments can be used to strengthen an organization’s brand identity. A strong brand identity has been proven to increase revenue.
Web-based video can be more than a brief clip. Organizations are now offering their stakeholders streamed versions of comprehensive Web-based video presentations such as product introductions, product training and tutorials, executive announcements, etc. while still providing high-quality video.
The key to successful Web-based video is to understand how to properly utilize its power, then developing the right strategy to take advantage of the technology.
Web-based video: technology drivers
So, how has Web-based video become a realistic element to incorporate into a marketing strategy? Several technology advancements, including the growing adoption of broadband, market saturation of Macromedia Flash Player, and advancements in video compression have made the benefits of Web-based video possible.
A broadband Internet connection is a necessity for a good experience when viewing Web-based video. The good news is that the adoption rate of broadband has dramatically increased. As shown in Figure 1, only 4.8 million homes in the United States had adopted broadband as of 2000. However, the number of broadband households increased by a factor of nearly 10 to 42.4 million in 2005, and is expected to reach 83 million by 2010.
In addition to the growing adoption of broadband, Macromedia Flash Player is now installed on more than 97.7 percent of all internet-enabled PCs in the world. This is a staggering statistic and provides some level of assurance that if an organization produces Flash-based video content, its audience will be able to view it online as intended.
There have also been a number of advancements in the last few years regarding video compression, which have made Web-based video much more accessible to the viewer. Simply put, compression is the process of removing data from a video file. The key is to remove the right amount of data so that quality is not sacrificed. Multimedia developers can now make fewer compromises in quality by making less significant reductions in frame rate or frame size to reduce file size. The end result is a higher quality video that can be played effectively over the Web.
Just some brief words of caution. Producing video for the Web does present some challenges that one would not typically face if the delivery device were media like videotape or DVD. “Special care must be taken in all phases of the production process,” notes Ramseier. “The setting and background, camera moves, lighting, and sound all have to be optimized to ensure that the compressed video provides the highest quality content for the audience.”
DVD: The media of choice
DVD is leading the wave of future video communications because organizations can provide audiences with a comprehensive and rich experience. DVD is quickly becoming the media of choice for video-based training and promotional tools, although many producers currently do not take advantage of the full possibilities of the media.
With DVD, audiences can experience multiple camera angles, convenient fast forward/rewind features, multilingual versions of the content, and much more. DVDs also run approximately nine times faster and can store up to 25 times more content than a CD. Aside from the technical benefits, current estimates predict that 450 million households worldwide will have a DVD player by 2008.
According to DVD Demystified, “The low cost of hardware and discs, the widespread use of players, and the availability of authoring systems, make DVD ideal for industrial training, professional development, sales presentations, home education, and any other application where full-screen, full-motion video and audio are needed for effective instruction.” According to the National Training Labs Institute, multimedia computer training leads to a 70 percent retention rate.
DVD is also well suited for promotional tools. Web site visitors can view short Web-based video segments of a program, and then order the full DVD. A DVD can hold entire catalogs to inform, educate, and persuade an audience, as well as supplemental content like an interactive video tour, product demonstrations, and helpful on-screen menus to make the program simple for users to navigate effectively.
In closing, organizations should consider the variety of media options now available for distributing their video content. It can be leveraged on the Web to inform, educate, and persuade a global audience. In addition, DVD provides companies with many options for distributing video content for education and training applications as well as promotional tools.

BPH, or benign prostate hyperplasia, is a medical phrase commonly used for a swollen prostate gland. This means that the prostate gland, a gland the size of a walnut situated just under the bladder and winding around the urethra, enlarges this can impair or maybe stop urination. The prostate enlarges as the years go by and may engender ailments for example urination troubles, a weak stream, and even an impression of the bladder still being uncomfortably full after passing urine. Too frequent urination during the night and infections of the urinary tract are some other symptoms which can result due to prostate gland engorgement.
What Is An Enlarged Prostate? Males over sixty frequently have prostate gland enlargement. It’s advocated that males over the age of fifty undergo exam by their physicians each year, irrespective of the occurence of problems, for the upkeep of prostatic health. Inability to micturate or the presence of blood whilst passing urine should result in getting medical intervention directly.
Surgical procedures or medicines are routine treatments for benign prostate hyperplasia. However, surgical operations can result in further symptoms for example erectile difficulties or even incontinence. An alpha blocker and medicines which reduce the swollen prostate gland are often given for better prostate gland wellness, however, medications often have unwanted repercussions so what are the alternatives?
Prostatic Enlargment Symptoms? Natures’s Way to a Healthier Prostate

Nearly as dreaded as snakes and spiders, public speaking ranks high in causing fear in many of us.
Whether your motivation is a desire to learn or simple necessity, here is a really simple guide to writing and giving a speech. Your Topic: is this speech about something already know? Then take a blank piece of paper and write down as many facts as you can think about this subject. Put them randomly around the page with circles or boxes drawn around each thought. Then draw lines to link the thoughts together in a meaningful way. An excellent website for this type of brainstorming can be found at www.mindmap.com.
Once you’ve exhausted your inner knowledge or, if this is a topic you don’t know much about, do a google search (www.google.com) on the topic. Visit the sites that seem to speak to the topic and again write down individual thoughts or ideas on a blank sheet of paper.
Your Introduction: Now take your sheet of ideas and write a 3-sentence introduction. If you were going to describe this to me over a cup of coffee what would you say? A key to giving a speech is a conversational tone. In the introduction tell your audience what you’re about to say.
Body: In three subsections (A, B, C or I, II, III or i, ii, iii) expand on your introduction. What is the first most important thing you want your audience to know? The second most important? The third? Make each section about 2 or 3 paragraphs long. Keep referring back to your brainstorm page.
Conclusion: In the introduction you told them what you were going to say. In the body, you told them again in detail. In the conclusion now tell them again. Tell them what you’re going to say, tell them, and then tell them what you said. Make the conclusion about 2 times as long as your introduction.
Do you want action with that? A speech is made to inform, to persuade, or to move to action. Finish off your speech with a statement that meets one of those purposes.
As a rule of thumb, a single-spaced, typed page should take 3 to 4 minutes to read through at the correct pace. If it takes less, you’re going too fast.
Practice, practice, practice – do NOT read your speech to your audience; either from 5X8 cards or from a typed sheet. To give a good speech you must sound familiar with the material; to become familiar with the material requires repetition. Repetition means reading the material aloud up to 50 times if necessary until you are totally familiar with it.
A good speech also involves feedback. During practice sessions you must recruit family or friends or coworkers to listen to you. Don’t ask them if it’s “good” or not; rather ask if it sounds conversational. Rewrite as needed to make your sentences sound like a normal conversation.
Fear: Since speech making often causes fear it must be dealt with beforehand. First, familiarity with your content will reduce fear. Repetition causes familiarity so practice, practice, practice. Ultimately, if you need notes for fear you’ll forget, you are not familiar enough with the material. If you MUST use notes, keep them to a minimum – perhaps your outline points (introduction, ABC, conclusion).
While giving the speech do not READ, do not look down, do not go too fast. Some tricks – if you wear glasses, take them off. You’ll be less nervous if you can’t see the audience so clearly. If you have notes you’ll be looking down and just make it more obvious how uncomfortable you are – especially if you lose your place and have to stop. Again a sign you are not familiar enough with your material. Instead of making eye contact, look at each individual’s forehead. To your audience it looks as if you are making eye contact without actually having to.
Make your speech about half as fast as you feel the urge to. When giving a speech we often speed up making ourselves sound silly and making it difficult for the audience to get your points.
Speech making comes to most of us sooner or later. If you’ll think out and organize what you want to say, if you’ll practice until you sound conversational, and if you’ll deal with fear up front, then you’re speech will be well received.
As a final incentive, remember that your audience is not out there to ridicule or belittle you. They are actually rooting for you to give an interesting talk. Do you actually think they’re there just waiting to pounce on your mistakes?
Good presenters are worth their weight in gold. How do I know? Just think for a moment about all the poor speeches you’ve endured. You would have given anything to be elsewhere. Now think about someone who made a memorable speech. Which would you rather listen to? Which would you rather be?
If you have questions about making a presentation, write me at the email address below.

Do you have a website that has little or no rankings in
the major Search Engines: Yahoo. Msn, Aol, Netscape,
Alltheweb and Google?
Are you making little or no sales because you’re getting
little or no traffics?
Welcome to the club.
You’re not alone.
There are about 500 millions websites trying to get
listed in the top 20 spots of the major Search engines.
Competition is stiff!
Only the oldest and most powerful websites have any
chance to attain Top 10 rankings.
If your site can’t make it directly, cheer up.
If you can’t get to the top 10 ranking in the major
Search engines directly, you can do so indirectly.
Here are some free search engine advertising secret tips on how to do this:
Look up the top 20 web sites on the major Search
engines under the keywords and phrases people would
find your web site.
The trick is to advertise on those web sites.
The most expensive way would be to buy ad space
on those web sites.
If you don’t want to spend any money, you could use
the ten strategies below.
(These strategies may not apply to every web site.)
1. Participate on their discussion boards. You could
post questions, answer other peoples questions, and
join in on conversations. Just include your signature
file and link at the end of your messages.
2. Ask the web site owner if they would like a free
ebook to giveaway to their visitors. You could have
them link to your web site or include your ad in the
free ebook.
3. Submit content to their web site. You could write
articles for their web site and include your resource
box and link at the end of the article. If they publish
it, you’ll indirectly be at the top of the search engines.
4. Write an excellent article review of their web site,
products or services. Then publish the review on your
web site. E-mail the web site owner and tell him or
her about it. They may link to your web site so their
visitors read it.
5. Ask the owner of the web site if they would want
to trade advertising. If you don’t get as much traffic
as they do, you could throw in some extra incentives.
6. Propose a cross promotion deal with the web site.
You both could promote each others products or
services together in one package deal. This means a
mention and link back to your web site.
7. Give the web site a testimonial for their product or
service. Include a little text link for your web site with
the testimonial. You never know; it could end up on
their ad copy.
8. Post your advertisement on their free classified ad
section on their web site. You want to be sure you
have an attractive headline so they will read your ad.
9. Post your text link on their free-for-all links page.
You want to go back and post your link regularly so
it stays towards the top.
10. Sign their guest books. You could leave a short
compliment about their web site on their guest book.
Just include your signature file and link at the end of
your message.
May these free search engine advertising secrets help
you to make a lot of money.
