Naveen Jain, Internet Visionary and Entrepreneur, Sets the Trend for Charity

Naveen Jain is one of today’s innovators in Internet technology. A Bachelor of Science in Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology and a post-graduate of XLRI Jamshedpur, School of Business and Human Resources with a degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, he held high positions in Microsoft Corporation and soon after began building his own companies.

Naveen Jain established an online personal and business directory named InfoSpace. Later on he co-founded Intelius, Inc. in January 2003. This information company provides services to consumers and businessmen that are significant in decision making. Some of which include people search, background checks and IDWatch, which gained the honour of winning the WSA Industry Achievement Award. Naveen Jain was also recognized for his leadership skills and success with his enterprises with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, American Business Award Best New Company for Intelius, Top 20 Entrepreneurs by the Red Herring, 6 People Who Will Change the Net by Information Week, and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal winner.

Naveen Jain is also dedicated in several philanthropic activities that involves children, education, and hunger issues. Child Rights and You (CRY), TreeHouse, Overlake Service League, Bellevue Boys & Girls Club, Hopelink, Children’s Hospital, Vedic Cultural Center, United Way, Rotary Club, Indian American Education Foundation, University Preparatory Academy, and the University of Washington are a few of the many other non-profit organizations that benefit from his generous assistance.

Naveen Jain also encourages his company to be active in these causes. Intelius is matching up to $250 of the worker’s donations to charities and employees are given paid leave when they volunteer to work for non-profit organizations.
