Romantic comedy pictures are funny motion pictures about true love and how it’s able to overcome even the biggest obstacles. As the name of the film genre may signal, romantic comedies are a combining of funninesses and romances. Screwball comedies and stoner movies are alike in some ways to romantic comedies too.

Romantic comedy movies generally share a plotline. Two people meet, are attracted to one another, then have an obstruction obstruct their love story. Finally they get back together and declare their devotion to one another.
The culmination of a romantic comedy is as inevitable as the other facets of the genre. While the two main characters are apart, one or both of them get that they’re meant to be together. One or both make a large motion to exhibit how much they’re in love, and the two main characters unite.
The story to the romantic comedy genre is as old as Shakespeare. As You Like It and Love’s Labour’s Lost can also be thought of as historic romantic comedies. The storyline can deviate in its particulars and presentation though.
Some romantic comedy films, such as The 40-Year Old Virgin, combine topics of romantic comedies and stoner comedies, producing a subgenre that appeals to both men and women. These type of movies normally use sex to bring the two main characters together. Movies in this genre include American Pie 2 or even Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
